This Project is a 10-week collaboration between SCAD and Harbor Picture. We were assigned to a team that we called tornado. Our Team consists of Madison Snow, Santiago Zurita and myself.

Ideas
The commercial begins with the focal point being a shiny object standing out in a cave of rocks and metal scraps. The object that appears to be a game controller slowly emerges from the sand and floats towards a captivating light source. Sand particles follow the game controller as they form a tornado. The controller surfaces to a new environment, one that opposes the eerie cave. Lastly, the audience is met with a screen promoting the product.

FX Test & Previsualization
This week I do the three shot(the reference 3. 4. 5 shot) Fx simulation test use particle and find the particle effect that could be used in our scene.

About simulation test use the wet sand for the first shot to make sure the sand is stick on the controller and dry sand for the second shot to make sure the sand is easy to slide off the controller, for the third shot I can not approach the reference(use popcurve force) it still need to do some research to fix that
the sand stick/slide on the controller is need to adjust the wetness(clamping weight) and clamping stiffness.

I used static object to press the sand which make the bowl shape, after testing I found if the sphere is still here while the controller is raising up, the sand on the controller will be squeezed down. So I use Switch node to avoid that situation.
the blocker is to ensure that the sand will not flow away, and use fewer particles to achieve the effect to reduce the simulation time.
Ps: check on the uniform radius can make particle more stable.

the grain is too big, then I point replicate node to make the point smaller.
