This week I changed the sand Simulation from particle to the vellum grain.
here is some progress and the trouble shooting.
vellum grain
this version's set up :
voxel size 0.003, simulation frame1-72, simulation time :50min
controller animation keyframe 1-72
Next step: 1.make the controller animation start after the sand is more stable
2.add more substep
this version's set up :
voxel size 0.003, simulation frame1-72, simulation time :50min
controller animation keyframe 48-72
the particle haven't have the correct collision by the controller, so next step I will make the controller animation start from the first frame and make the animation under the sand.
this version's set up :
voxel size 0.003, simulation frame1-72, simulation time :50min
controller animation keyframe:

the sand stop to collide after 48 frame. I will try to scale down the overall sand size and try again
this version's set up :
voxel size 0.003, simulation frame1-72, simulation time :20min
controller animation keyframe: same as the last version
this time I check inside of the sand which I find when the controller went down, the sand stop the collide with the controller(I think it might be the space is enough to make the sand be removed by the controller), So I will remove the blocker and check the result.
still have the same problem, So maybe it's the controller is too deep next step is to adjust the controller's animation.
based on this result, I will change the controller animation and make sure it only move out the sand once and not so deep.
Also since the controller have to only moved once so I will use sphere as collider to make the Similar to crater shape
It still have the same issue but after adjust the keyframe of the controller, it look much better.
So next step I increase the substep and scale down the overall sand size. make the voxel size 0.001 simulation time :30min
but when the sand is falling down from the controller, the sand is still look like need more substep. So I will change substep from 2 to 3 or may be 4 and try again
here is substep 3 result, it still look like the sand is being sliced while the controller is move up
This is the result that I increase the controller's friction and then increase the vellum solver's iterations substeps
the sand is stable more quickly and the slicing shape is gone
I test the environment object collide with the object, the simulation look correct
but the animation of the controller seem started a little early I will adjust that
